The Salvation Army World Service Organization (SAWSO) is fulfilling its mission by developing sustainable Salvation Army programs around the world that provide disaster relief and recovery assistance;  empower men and women to gain economic independence;  create livelihoods where there were none; improve community health and educate about disease prevention like HIV.  SAWSO has been working hand-in-hand with communities throughout the world for 36 years to address the ever-changing needs of the poorest and most vulnerable. SAWSO’s major sectors of work include health (child survival, maternal and child health, and community-based health), empowerment and livelihoods, community development, and disaster relief. These sectors compliment The Salvation Army’s global services which include health facilities, schools, literacy, children’s homes, homes for the elderly, microfinance, anti-human trafficking, disaster relief and recovery, and HIV care and prevention. SAWSO’s efforts have impacted the lives of millions of people worldwide.  You can be apart of our 2017 goal to build or improve 20 new corps around the world. We need only 60 more people to give a gift of $20 to meet our corps goal.  Thank you!
